CUSTOMER CARE

At Alex Mallett Jewellery we aim to provide our customers with a fair, rewarding and enjoyable experience and this is reflected both in our jewellery ethos and in the way we conduct our business. We want you to be entirely happy with your shopping experience and comfortable in the knowledge that you are buying from a conscientious and principled brand.

WHOLESALE ENQUIRIES

We are delighted to discuss wholesale options with shops and galleries and can provide a wholesale pricelist and portfolio upon request.

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are the contract between you and Alex Mallett Jewellery (“us”, “we”, "our"). By placing an order with us you are accepting these Terms and Conditions. 

Please read this agreement carefully. If you do not agree with it, you should leave our website immediately.

These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

CONTRACT

A legally binding contract will be created between you and Alex Mallett Jewellery when Alex Mallett Jewellery has accepted your order and payment is taken. Please be aware that only persons 18 years or older are able to enter into contracts.

Alex Mallett Jewellery reserves the right not to accept your order in the event that payment is declined or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will advise you of the reasons for cancellation. In the event that we cancel an order our only liability is to fully refund you the amount paid for your order including shipping.

SITE CHANGES, WEBSITE ACCESS AND PRICING

We make website changes on a regular basis and content can change without notice, including products, text and pricing. Your access to the site is permitted on a temporary basis and we reserve the right to suspend or withdraw access to our website.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept payment by Paypal, credit/debit cards and other payment methods listed at checkout. We also accept offline payment if you are collecting from our workshop. By making a purchase on our website you are confirming that you are the account holder or have express permission from the account holder. Prices are listed in GBP and all delivery costs will be clearly stated at time of purchase.

 

SHIPPING

Please be advised that many of our items are made to order and as such delivery times may vary. We aim to dispatch most items within 3 business days but if this is any different then dispatch time will be included in the item's description.

The cost of UK deliveries on orders under £50 is £2.99 per order*.

UK deliveries on orders over £50 are free of charge. 

All UK items are sent via Royal Mail 1st Class, Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For or Royal Mail Special Delivery, depending on the level or insurance cover required.

Royal Mail Special Delivery will also be available for any order for a small additional charge.

 

International orders are priced per country and will be dispatched through a reputable international shipping company. All export taxes and duties will be included in the shipping cost. Some countries may incur additional import duties or taxes and, while we do endeavor to advise if extra charges will be applicable, payment of these is the responsibility of the customer.

All items are shipped using our fully recyclable and secure packaging

Some items, such as the ring sizer, may have postage included in the cost, this will be stated in the items description.

CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

Cancellation of ready-made orders: We dispatch these orders within 1-3 business days and so cannot offer a cancellation period. However if a cancellation request is received prior to postage we will honour this and give a full refund including postage.

Cancellation of custom-made orders: We aim to dispatch these orders within 1-2 weeks and will accept cancellations within 5 days of an order being made.

Cancellation of commission orders: During and after the consultation process and finalisation of design, you are entitled to cancel up until the date when we have advised work on your commission (including ordering of materials) will commence. Any deposit made will be refunded in full and you will not be liable for any further payments. If cancelling after the date when we have advised that work will commence (including ordering of materials), we have the right to keep some or all of the deposit money paid to cover expenses.

If you are not entirely satisfied you can return your jewellery within 30 days in its original unworn condition (trying on is fine) of receiving for a full refund not including postage costs. Stud and hook earrings and other piercings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. Return of customised or bespoke pieces may be subject to a fee for alteration and re-stocking. Commission pieces cannot be returned for refund. Postage will not be refunded unless there is a fault or defect with your jewellery.

FAULTY AND DAMAGED ITEMS

All parcels leave us in perfect condition so if there is any visible damage to your parcel or if it has been opened we strongly advise you not to accept and to return it to the courier. If you do accept a parcel that is visibly damaged or opened you are accepting liability for the goods contained and for any damage or loss that may have occurred in transit. If you contact us within 5 days or receipt of the damaged or opened parcel we will be happy to discuss your options, however any repair may incur a discretionary charge and we are not liable to refund or replace the items.

Should your jewellery show damage or defect upon opening not caused during transit then we will happily replace, repair or refund in full including postage upon receiving the damaged goods back. If it is evident that the jewellery has been worn and damaged during wear then you are still covered by our 3 year guarantee for free repairs or replacement but you will be liable for postage costs and not entitled to a refund. PRIVACY AND SAFETY

Certain data is collected automatically when visiting our website in accordance with the law and the requirements of our payment platform. We value our customers' privacy and trust very highly and will never shared your personal information with anyone else. We will keep details of customers who make a purchase for our records in accordance with UK law and to allow us to facilitate ongoing customer care and guarantee obligations.

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Any information, photographs and illustrations are the intellectual property of Alex Mallett Jewellery, unless otherwise stated. They may only be reproduced for your personal use or to promote or advertise our website. Any other use of some or all parts of our website must be with our express permission.
